On parenting instincts: when your baby can't see because he has pulled his hat halfway down his face do you 1) help him or 2) take a picture then help him? My answer follows:

That's his pacifier leash. It's Dash's actually, because his has a blue mouse on it. Liam's has an orange lozenge. Bought because dropping pacifiers on the pavement is crummy, but mostly because I too went a little magpie over the wooden bits. :)
